Philly Phaces is committed to the empowerment of the children, adults, and families facing appearance differences by providing structured peer support, advocacy, and resources to those in need. In recognition of the importance of giving back to the community, Philly Phaces is devoted to catering to the families within the Philadelphia metro area who are cared for within the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Philly Phaces is a grass roots, all volunteer, nonprofit organization for children with congenital facial abnormality.
Who We Are
We are a loving and knowledgeable community of Volunteers made up of parents, health professionals, and young adults with Congenital Facial Abnormalities. We are all intimately impacted by the life-changing work being performed everyday by the surgical and mental health professionals in the Philadelphia area. We are dedicated and passionate about bringing to bear our experiences and resources to help children and their families navigate the medical, social, and psychological issues associated with appearance differences.

EVERY HEART HAS A STORY
Why It Matters
When a child is born with a congenital facial abnormality, parents experience a tidal wave of emotions and questions. Will my child be healthy? What social obstacles will he or she face? How will they be impacted emotionally? How do we even begin to educate ourselves on which surgeries, doctors, and therapies will be required? Who can we turn to for guidance?
Philly Phaces provides a community of support and answers to these monumental questions and concerns. We understand how much it matters to have access to these resources to ensure all of our children experience the best that life has to offer.
